Farrer Kane & Co’s work with #Justice4Windrush shortlisted for PRWeek Award

We’re immensely proud that our pro-bono work for the #Justice4Windrush campaign has been shortlisted for a PRWeek Award in the ‘Best Social Purpose Campaign’ category.
Founded by actor and campaigner Colin McFarlane, the Justice4Windrush campaign is fighting for justice for over 15,000 people of the Windrush generation wrongly classified as illegal immigrants. The campaign secured the backing of a host of famous faces from across the entertainment industries – including Annie Lennox, who re-recorded ‘Why’ exclusively for the campaign; AJ Tracey; Eddie Marsan; Baroness Doreen Lawrence; Jazmine Flowers; Jay Blades; Hannah Waddingham; and Adrian Lester.
Our work on the media launch involved a collaborative effort alongside Cloud9Media, Coldr, and others which saw widespread coverage secured across national, broadcast, regional and digital media titles, in tandem with a wave of social media support highlighting the campaign’s fight to highlight the ongoing plight of the Windrush generation.
With a significant proportion of the Windrush generation still awaiting compensation, it is more important than ever that the campaign remains high on the media agenda – and in the public eye – until justice is rightfully delivered.
We are hugely proud to have supported such an important campaign and to see every stakeholder’s efforts recognised for this year’s PRWeek Awards.
