We're a well-established communications agency with a particular speciality in professional and financial services. Both IQ and EQ are important to us when it comes to recruitment and we've put together a 20-strong team who are razor sharp, hard-working and, well, just nice.
Doing the right thing is important to us too. Last year we gave around £100,000 worth of consultancy to pro-bono projects, like the #FreePeriods campaign.
Our lovely office is in Clerkenwell, a stone's throw from Exmouth Market.
Oh, and we're independent which means we aren't constrained by a faceless parent company when it comes to promotions, bonuses and fantastic staff perks!
About the role
Farrer Kane's Account Managers are key decision makers. They advise clients, have day-to-day account oversight and manage junior members of the team. Our AMs are strategic, they contribute to agency management and feel a real sense of ownership on accounts.
When it comes to writing, our AMs provide final input into client facing materials and will often sign off on content. They are expected to be proficient with MS PowerPoint, able to construct high quality decks with senior input as required.
An AM at Farrer Kane is a media relations expert. They have, or are willing to quickly develop, a brilliant book of journalist contacts at publications that are critical for our clients.
This role requires solid judgement, particularly when it comes to client handling. This means knowing how, when and why to communicate with clients and having a real ability to judge appropriate written and verbal tone.
There is an expectation that AMs are involved in new business, in conjunction with senior team members.
We like engaging people with a positive, can-do attitude.
This role requires real EQ. You'll need, or have the potential to develop, real credibility in front of corporate clients. You'll be able to read a room, your colleagues and be calm in a crisis.
We expect you'll have at least two to three years' worth of PR/comms agency experience, but we are open to candidates with different backgrounds.
It goes without saying that you're professional, polite and ambitious. But it's also incredibly important that you don't take yourself too seriously and are happy to de-compress with the rest of the team at the right moments.
