Beth began her communications career at Grandfield, a large corporate and financial agency. Here she worked across multiple account teams gaining exposure to a range of clients including major corporates, financial institutions and international law firms.

She then helped launch a specialist legal consultancy before being recruited by Spada, where she was tasked with developing the firm's professional services practice. She was made a Board Director of the agency in 2009. Over the last 11 years Beth has advised clients across a range of issues from handling the media element of merger communications to corporate positioning and crisis management.

Alex entered the world of communications straight after University when he founded the film production company, Ratnaike & Kane. This allowed for many creative adventures from filming the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka to putting on interactive art events with a crew of London graffiti artists.

Following a spell in New York and time in the world of headhunting, Alex joined Spada, a PR agency focusing on the professional services sector. During his 12 year stint, Alex honed his media relations, branding and communications skills on a range of clients across the property, construction, environmental and corporate sectors. He was Managing Director of the agency from 2009-2012.

Holly joined Farrer Kane after graduating from Durham University with a 2:1 in French and Italian. At university, she edited and wrote content for a modern languages paper which ignited her keen interest in the world of journalism, media relations and current affairs. Having provided social media support for a school while teaching in Bologna and interned in the International Relations department of a Parisian University, Holly is excited to develop her communication, PR and writing skills even further.

Holly is part of client teams spanning the legal, property and health sector and she enjoys supporting with media relations, creating social media content, researching and copywriting.

Ines Alves,

Ines manages a mix of B2B and B2C clients across a number of sectors from construction and financial services, through to consumer finance and healthcare.

Running integrated earned media and social media campaigns, Ines works closely with clients to help them reach their key audiences through a variety of channels. Alongside securing high-profile media coverage, she has extensive experience in social media management, and is skilled in helping clients develop and atomise content across a range of platforms.

Ines is also adept at producing compelling written copy for a wide range of client sectors, from professional services firms to consumer finance, and helps with managing the agency’s website content and social channels.

Ines’ interest in communications was first sparked at internships with two of the largest media agencies in London. A psychology graduate, she is well-versed in digesting technical content, and has a good understanding of data analysis – skills she regularly puts to use on behalf of her clients.

Rupert Bhatia,

Before moving into communications, Rupert spent a decade as a broadcast journalist. Honing his on-air presentation at the BBC, he then moved to LBC where he gained a reputation for breaking news – reporting on some of the biggest news events of recent times. Rupert has interviewed two sitting Prime Ministers, the Governor of the Bank of England and business figures including Sir Richard Branson.

Rupert cut his communication teeth at a small agency mainly aimed at start-ups, before moving to integrated financial services agency, Teamspirit. There, he was appointed to the PR board after building a successful media training franchise alongside award winning day-to-day client work for brands from start-up to FTSE 100 stage, spanning the full financial services ecosystem.

Rupert is a crisis & issues specialist and has assisted companies accused of serious wrongdoing. He has advised leaders ahead of Select Committee engagements, critical funding stages (up to c.£200m) and C-Suite transition.

Jonathan Chocqueel-Mangan,

Jonathan brings Farrer Kane outstanding experience in advising teams and individuals on strategic planning and business development, drawing on his board level experience with global organisations and leading consulting firms.

Alongside Jonathan’s non-executive directorship at Farrer Kane, he is currently Chief Strategy Officer at Pearson, the world's largest education company. Prior to this role Jonathan was Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at Kantar, where, as part of the global executive committee, he led on a number of areas including business planning, organisational development and change, and digital strategy.

His career spans senior level roles at consultancies Tyler Mangan, Heidrick & Struggles and KPMG Consulting, as well as innovative global companies including market research firm TNS, where he was Chief Commercial Officer and Director of Strategy & Communication.

Jonathan’s insight and passion for supporting organisations going through rapid transformation and growth is of invaluable support to Farrer Kane.

Benedict’s interest in PR began with a placement at a small strategic advisory firm in Central London. During his time there, he helped with social media engagement and research for client campaigns and developed his communications skills by creating content for the company’s LinkedIn and website. He enjoyed working on various projects and learning about reputation management.

Benedict graduated with a 1.1 in English from the University of Oxford where he developed his research and analytical skills. He had a particular interest in interdisciplinary approaches, experimental literature, and all things avant-garde. Benedict provides support on a range of Farrer Kane clients across the legal, property and public sectors.

Clo Davey,

After a brief stint in market research, Clo's career in communications began at a PR agency specialising in financial and professional services. She then moved to Fishburn, a top 20 communications consultancy, where she advised clients including BT, the BBC and the Department for Transport, on issues ranging from media and stakeholder relations to crisis management and corporate social responsibility.

Clo joined Farrer Kane in 2013 as an Associate Director and works across both B2B and B2C accounts.

Phil has wide ranging experience in both branding and design, and website and mobile app development. He supports Farrer Kane clients on briefs spanning graphic design, advertising, presentations and print. He is also skilled in delivering web and app design and development assignments.

Dudley spent his formative years in West Sussex, where he showed an early and close dedication to the natural and built environment, with a particular passion for reporting on the county’s vertical street furniture.

His talents soon led him to seek broader horizons. At Farrer Kane, his nose for a good story has quickly made him a great asset to the team, where his uncanny ability to sniff out every possible angle is much appreciated. He is a gifted listener, hearing the rustle of issues relevant to Farrer Kane clients at great distances.

One of Dudley’s key areas of interest is keeping workplace stress to an absolute minimum, to ensure the Farrer Kane team is the most focused and productive it can be. He advocates regular exercise, and the occasional power nap to clear the build up of tension.

Grace discovered her love of communications whilst working in a marketing role at CACI Ltd, a data, marketing and IT solutions company. Here she developed her written communication skills by creating content for the company’s website, LinkedIn and email campaigns. She enjoyed adapting her writing for different audiences, in industries ranging from retail finance to data science.

Grace graduated with a 2:1 in History from the University of Edinburgh where she began harnessing her research and analytical skills. She found a particular interest in social history, analysing how events affected people’s behaviour and, in turn, changed the course of history. Grace works across a range of Farrer Kane clients including those in the property, construction and legal sectors.

Freddie got a first taste for PR and communications in a fast-paced start-up environment, in the communications team for a tech-education charity. During his time there, he secured key broadcast and national coverage, and helped with producing marketing and press materials, which cemented his interest in PR.

At Farrer Kane Freddie works with B2B clients spanning the legal, construction, and property sectors, providing support for media relations campaigns and copywriting, as well as carrying out in-depth research.

Freddie graduated with a 2:1 in English Literature from the University of Bristol, where he explored his passion for literature and writing. Through his university career, he developed his analytical research and creative writing skills, which he enjoys putting to use in his work at Farrer Kane.

Matthew Grundy,

Before joining Farrer Kane, Matthew worked closely with the CFO of a multi-national printing company, based in London. Whilst there he developed a keen commercial awareness, through dealing with foreign clients, working on the modernisation of a subsidiary company and writing company policy documents. His interest in media relations and current affairs, combined with the opportunity to interact with individuals at the forefront of their professions led him to pursue a career with Farrer Kane.

His work at the agency predominantly involves gaining top-tier earned media coverage and assisting in wider creative campaigns for a number of professional services firms and property consultancies.

He supports clients across both B2B and B2C sectors, delivering results on campaigns which range from promoting residential and commercial developments, to large corporate acquisitions, product launches and rebrands.

Charlotte Hughes,

Charlotte has many years’ experience helping corporate clients devise the communications strategy they need to hit their business objectives. She has undertaken a range of remits from creating brand-shifting media relations campaigns through to advising on the communication aspects of merger or crisis scenarios. She has overseen campaigns across professional media with significant experience of communication planning and strategy, content creation and delivery, as well as undertaking client research, thought leadership reports and perception audits.

Charlotte has a particular understanding of clients working within the professional services and built environment sectors having advised clients including the likes of global law firms Withers and Jones Day, top 20 accountancy firm Saffery Champness through to real estate organisations such as ludlowthomson.

Charlotte started her career as a trainee accountant before moving in to the communications sector, joining a boutique professional services agency. She later spent six years at a mid-sized B2B agency where as Account Director she led the strategy and day-to-day account management for clients across a range of sectors, including legal, accountancy and property.

Max Jewell,

With experience in offering strategic communications advice to clients across a range of sectors, from global professional service firms through to early-stage start-ups, Max runs a number of brand-building and media relations campaigns.

In addition to extensive B2B communications experience, Max also works with a number of consumer brands, growing profile through print and broadcast media alongside engaging social media campaigns. In addition, Max has also overseen national campaigns, including the recent lobbying of a cabinet minister that was backed by a number of high-profile banking figures.

An avid writer, Max regularly contributes to the agency’s content and social media channels, as well as providing ghost-written articles for a variety of clients on a range of topics, from developments in data privacy law through to the latest trends in workplace design and youth finance.

Louise Laird,

Louise is a highly experienced social media and marketing specialist with a 20 year track record of helping brands of all sizes develop compelling marketing campaigns and social media content and strategy that have had real impact on the bottom line.

She began her career in marketing where she worked inhouse for Bidwells Property Consultants before moving to become campaign manager for global law firm Eversheds where she oversaw a variety of marketing campaigns, events and branding initiatives.

From there she moved to the public sector and took a senior communications role in house with a large NHS foundation trust, where her work spanned internal communications, service launches, CEO interviews and working with the PR team on the internal side of crisis communications.

With a particular interest in social media and having then spent 14 years in marketing and communications, Louise decided to focus more fully on social media and set up her own specialist social consultancy targeting start-ups and small, fast-growth businesses, helping them to increase brand awareness across a range of social media channels. Clients were diverse, ranging from the likes of litigation boutique and challenger brand Ignition Law through to NewLaw firm Halebury and Elevate Services.

Alongside focusing on professional services clients, Louise also ran the social media accounts for several charities including Free Periods and Support SEND Kids.

Helen began working in corporate communications over 15 years ago and has both in agency and in house experience. She has devised and run campaigns for clients across a number of sectors including legal, property and the wider B2B market. Post her initial spell in a London professional services agency, she moved in house to the corporate communications department at English Heritage where she ran external communications for national projects as well as for three of the organisation's local teams.

Helen now works as Head of Content where she undertakes research, digital and copywriting tasks on a range of B2B and B2C campaigns.

Having graduated from university as a D&AD student award winner, Mark began his career in London working for SEA Design, a highly respected design consultancy. During this time he honed his craft as a graphic designer working in the fields of branding, the arts and publishing.

Rebecca’s interest in a career in PR began with an internship at John Lewis & Partners, where she assisted the press team across multiple functions. In this role, she gained a valuable insight into in-house PR, and was drawn to explore the multi-faceted world of agency work. This inspired her to undertake an MA in Corporate Communications, Marketing and Public Relations, after achieving a 1st in her Economics and Philosophy undergrad at the University of Leeds. After building her writing and analytical skills at undergrad level, she was able to rediscover her love for creative writing whilst doing her masters.

As part of her MA, she volunteered on the PR team of a non-profit, writing news stories for their website and identifying media opportunities.

Rebecca works across a range of clients at Farrer Kane, including those in the legal, financial and non-profit sectors.

Bronwen brings experience in content marketing, media relations and social media strategy from her time as Media and Communications ambassador at the University of Birmingham to her role at Farrer Kane. Coupled with experience in-house at a prestigious real estate firm, a travel social media start up and fashion and lifestyle magazines, Bronwen channels her understanding of effective communications strategy into her clients across the legal, healthcare and property sectors.

With a first class degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Birmingham, Bronwen studied a range of subjects from Art History and English Literature, to Economics and Entrepreneurship, and brings this breadth of interest and understanding to Farrer Kane, undertaking copywriting, research and media relations tasks with attention to detail and an eye for creativity.

Emilie discovered her fascination for storytelling and communication while at university, where, as Digital News Editor of the student newspaper, she covered everything from student rent strikes to SU elections. She developed her interest working in the Photography Art Department at Sotheby’s Auction House as part of their highly coveted internship programme. Emilie graduated from Bristol University with a 2:1 in History. She is now very excited to put into practice her skills and experience at Farrer Kane.

Emilie is involved in both B2B and B2C client teams ranging across the legal, education and healthcare sectors. She particularly enjoys carrying out research tasks, media monitoring and writing media pitches.

Eleanor Toal,

Eleanor gained valuable communications experience at a global B2B transport technology company, in a fast-paced customer-facing role. From producing operational reports for high-profile clients, to managing complaints and fielding emails and calls, Eleanor’s role on the UK Service Desk was very varied. Eleanor has a sharp eye for detail that was put to great use in proofreading crucial bids for the company. In dealing with complex technical faults as well as complaints, she gained experience in crisis communication and became confident at building positive customer relations.

Eleanor graduated with a 2.1 in English from the University of Cambridge where she had the chance to pursue her love of literature. During her time at university she developed a keen interest in media through several positions on student newspapers where she had the opportunity to flex her creative muscles as well as gaining editorial experience. An interest in media communications, a passion for the written word honed by her English degree, as well as experience in B2B communication encouraged Eleanor to pursue a career in PR.

Catherine’s interest in PR was first sparked at a series of placements with communications and social media start-ups whilst at university. Having worked in both a client services role at a prestigious British retailer and writing positions at start-up businesses, Catherine has developed strong consumer liaison skills and an eye for spotting and effectively communicating a compelling story.

With Farrer Kane clients spanning the construction, property and legal sectors, Catherine provides support on media relations, research tasks, copywriting and social media. As a long-term volunteer for young people with disabilities, she is an eager participant in the agency’s pro bono work.

Pursuing her interest in language, Catherine graduated from the University of Oxford with a 2:1 in English, where she picked up an eye for linguistic details and developed valuable research and analytical skills.
